Not true. British understatement? ;)

No, quite the contrary!!

But you are right. I made a mistake. Sorry. Your statement was an exaggeration.

Hi KurtRider and welcome to Casperworld :winken:

There are definitely a few english speakers around ;)
I'd say I might be one of them... I'm probably far from perfect, but should be perfectly capable of chatting with native english speakers :D
Itsy should be able to tell if I'm right

Hi and welcome. :) Not trying to be too indiscreet or intrusive, but I think it's interesting - how long have you been living in Czech Republic now? Do you like it and do you speak Czech well? ^^

Hi Einoly and Prometheus,

I've been in the Czech Republic for six months. I love it. It's a wonderful country. The beer flows like water. I speak a bit of German. Unfortunately, the only words of Czech I know are "Dobry Den" and "dekuji." It's an incredibly hard language to learn. I think learning Sanskrit would be easier.

That's nice to hear...I hope I can also pay a visit to the Czech Republic soon again. :) I heard that it's not that cheap anymore as it used to be but still more affordable than other countries. ^^ I don't think Sanskrit is easier than learning Czech....hehe. :D Czech is a nice language, but than again, I'm a bit familiar with slavic languages and it sounds nice to me ... though I don't understand every word. ^^ I'm certain you made a good choice. :) Just take a brief look at my signature picture. :smile033:

Prague is a bit on the expensive side, like all major European cities. But if you go to the smaller towns out in the country, it's very affordable. What country do you live in? I wanted to ask you about your signature picture. What movie is that from and who are the actors? :)
